YAD has today launched another social infrastructural development project in Kenema city. Titled Multipurpose Youth Resource Centre, the project will house YAD’s administrative headquarters, a youth conference/assembly hall, modern catering facility, digital library that will provide more than 50 thousand electronics books and research materials for both secondary and tertiary students, ICT training and digital/screen printing services.

The occasion attracted hundreds of admirers and all stakeholders including the Residence Minister of eastern region, Hon. Karamoh Kabbah. Among other stakeholders were the Provincial Secretary – eastern region, Senior District Officer- Kenema district, the Deputy Mayor – Kenema municipality, Town Chief – Kenema city, representatives of all relevant government ministries and executives of YAD affiliated youth groups.

While formally turning the foundation soil, the Resident Minister, Karamor Kabbah, Provincial Secretary, Mr Panicking, and the Town Chief, Kenie Momoh Ngombulango in various tones affirmed their undeterred support and expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciations to the board and management of YAD for their tireless efforts in providing valuable development projects for the youths in the region. They further expressed their blessings and support for whatever bureaucratic backing the organization might require in order to ensure successful implementation of the project.

Various speakers ushered similar appreciations and blessings upon YAD for this historic project.
